A huge congratulations to our Novice band who raised an incredible ¬£2400.00 at their recent fundraising event!
The band would like to thank all those that came to our race night, held recently on Friday 26th March. Thanks to everyone that contributed towards what was a great night!
Preparations then continued for the fast approaching season at a full practice on Saturday 27th April.
The draw was recently made for the 2019 British Pipe Band Championships, held in Paisley on Saturday 18th May.
We will be competing in the grade 2 contest, bringing the 18 band grade to a close at 16:33. This will be the bands first competitive outing of the 2019 season & will see us debut our new medley under the bands new leadership.
Our Novice Band have also been drawn to play 4th out of a 17 band Novice Juvenile B Grade at 10:24!

A huge congratulations to tenor drummer Aimee, who competed recently at the 2019 Kingdom Thistle Solo’s, held at Lochgelly High School.
Aimee placed 3rd & 4th in the two sections she competed in.

Congratulations to tenor drummers Aimee & Morgan who placed second and fourth respectively this weekend at the Lothian & borders solo drumming.
Last weekend, novice band drummer Robbie placed first at the Coatbridge indoor solo drumming.
A huge well done to all our members from both bands who have recently competed in solo events.
The band are hosting a race night on Friday 26th April, from 7pm at St Vincent Bowling Club.

Our drum major, Kara was recently recognised & presented with an award by Mid Ulster for her achievements last season in winning both the Scottish & European Championships.

Two members of the bands drum core were in action with The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland on Saturday 2nd February.

Members of the band were in action at The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Glasgow for the annual WestSound Burns Supper.
The band piped the top table in before playing a selection of tunes for guests.
