Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Pipe Band
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was established on the 1st of April 2013, replacing the eight previous fire and rescue authorities and joint fire and rescue boards.
The main purpose of the SFRS is to work in partnership with communities and with others in the public, private and third sectors on prevention, protection and response to improve the safety and wellbeing of people throughout Scotland.
The SFRS Pipe Bands play a major part in promoting the Service all over Scotland from their base at the West Service Delivery Headquarters in Hamilton.
We have a competing Grade 2 Band and Novice Juvenille band which between them represent the SFRS at many ceremonial and social functions throughout the year.
Both bands compete at all Major Pipe Band Championships, with the Grade 2 band under the direction of Pipe Major Olly Brownlie & our Novice Juvenile band under Pipe Major Michael Clark.
For further information on the either band please, get in touch and for information on the SFRS or to book a free Home Fire Safety Visit please visit our website.
